Larsen & Toubro (+3%) rose after the company bought a minority stake in a Delaware-based software company for $ 1 million. Axis Bank (+3%) rose after the bank announced it’s plan to raise Rs 12,000 cr via tier-2 bonds.

Nifty Pvt Bank (+1%) rose due to strong performance of Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank and HDFC Bank. Nifty IT (-6%) plunged due weak performance of HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Wipro and TCS.
