Utkarsha's journey from fearing the stock markets to investing in it!

Utkarsha Agarwal, 32, is a business consultant based in Bangalore, hailing from Asansol, a place where investing (that too in stock markets) isn't that popular. Due to lack of Information and exposure, he too had a rather bad perception about the stock market world, let alone trading.

But as and when he realised the importance of wealth creation he started gathering all the information and advice he could get his hands on. Thanks to his favourite professor from the YouTube University Pranjal Kamra, he realised that investing is not gambling and actually a tool that helps create long lasting wealth. 

Though for the first three months Utkarsha stuck to simple SIPs, he moved on to directly investing in individual stocks after spending time in research and ready to take on risk. A firm believer of coffee-can investing he believes in a portfolio of Blue chip stocks, leaving little room for experimental stocks according to individual risk appetite.

Though quite stable now, he has had his fair share of losses and mistakes, one being trading and buying stocks without further research. He rectified them and soon learnt that investing is a long-term game and one should stick to companies/industries that one understands.

He started in December 2018 and defined his style soon, making handsome profits by buying the dip in the 2020 crash.

He believes that long-term wealth creation is important for everyone but one's life shouldn't revolve around money.

He aspires to spread his knowledge and encourage other people to invest through the content on his page on Instagram. The best advice he gives is: Start as early as possible.
